I really enjoy watching the three major sports: football, basketball and baseball. For some reason I like college sports better than professional sports; except for Major League Baseball. I am a Washington Nationals fan, but the only time I get to see them play is when they are on ESPN or when they are playing the Atlanta Braves; because that is the channel I get here. The Nationals home channel or network is MASN, and I do not get that channel unfortunately. So, I do my best to keep up with the Nationals on my phone and the ESPN app.
I watch a lot of ESPN through out the day; yesterday, fantasy football was all over the screen all day. I have to say I am not a fan of fantasy football since I tried it last year because I had no one to show me how to trade players during the season. My fantasy team did not do very well either. I think fantasy football is more fun if you have friends to play with, and compared to the average person, I do not have many friends; do not feel bad for me though, as I am happy with my life the way it is.
My wife used to play field hockey, and I find it interesting that she does not enjoy watching sports on TV; I think she would rather see a game in person as would I, but actually going to a game can be expensive or a pain in the rear. Actually, my wife did watch the Capitals in the Stanley Cup Finals which I could not believe. Now, I dream that some day Crystal will watch all sports with me and actually like it, but I will not hold my breath on that one. I may get into trouble for writing that, but I stay in trouble with my wife; I am always on strike two… haha! Heaven only knows what wrath might occur should I ever get strike three.
It has been quite a busy summer for Crystal and me; she got ordained as an elder in the Church of The Nazarene, and I could not be more proud of her: congratulations Crystal! I love you! After spending a few days in Charlotte, NC for District Assembly, we had to go to Whittier, NC in the mountains for children’s camp; we stayed there for a week, and then we went to a family camp in Hendersonville, NC which is also in the mountains; we stayed there for a week. We had a week off after family camp, and then we had Vacation Bible School at our church a couple of hours every night for a week. By the way, we attend Powerline Church of The Nazarene in Elon, NC. It is a wonderful place to worship; friendly people, good music, an awesome staff, and a worship center filled with the Holy Spirit.
Even though I am still wonderfully exhausted from all the traveling and the summer heat, I am grateful I got to get away for a little while. I have always enjoyed camping and staying in hotel rooms; I do not know why.
I must admit, this entry is all over the place, and for that I apologize. I am sitting here typing away while listening to a variety of music on my phone. I have always loved music; it relaxes me. In fact, I have been listening to music all day, and it is like one big party in my mind that never stops; except, there are no illegal drugs or alcohol which are overrated anyway. Though I will confess I did have a Mountain Dew this morning, and I plan on having one tomorrow, and the day after that, and the next day, and so on. I like water but sometimes I just need a break from it.
Well, that is it for this entry; I hope you have a great night!
God Bless,
Chris
