I curse the stars

when the moon takes harvest

while looking across the blue night

and I cuss the moon for being so vibrant

though its beauty slightly moves me

The breeze blows without a care

but only the tree-tops do shudder

it is quiet, calm

and rather eerie

now the stars and moon

command the night

but I control my surrender

no surrender

 

Campus Activity

 

Most of the men are overly aware of their walk

so they have pocketed hands

most of the women are opinionated

they like to talk loud

and laugh out even louder

could we have a moment of silence?

some time to think strategically

to maneuver around the mainstream

to walk around unnoticed

with pocketed hands

eyes focused on the ground

foundation to lead the way

through seldom used doors

with every step planned ahead

every direction mapped

at a moments notice

covering pavement and concrete

while peripheral vision observes activity

until it all fades away

into oblivion

search the high seas for a cabin boy

perhaps he could serve your devilish persona

a mirage is not a miracle drug

horses jump over mirages

fearing they will fall

the fear of a high spirit

A couch potatoes dream

is a bag of potato chips

and the nightmare

of losing the remote control

self control

sends misdirection

too many funny times
