I saw a video of Johnny Depp, and his T-shirt read, “Be Humble or Be Humbled”. I thought what a great title for a blog post; so, here it is, though I doubt some of you will like it because I have some not so positive things to say, unfortunately.
For those of you that have not read my info on my blogging website, it says this is from a paranoid schizophrenic point of view. My info also says that I feel like God is encouraging me to be myself in accordance with His word and His will. Frankly, that is between God and me; you may not like it when people say that for whatever reason, but it is the truth.
Let us get started shall we, and by the way I am feeling saucy today just so you are not too surprised … Life can be a struggle for many, and life is full of risks is it not? Sometimes we make decisions that come back to bite us, and …
sometimes people can mistake your kindness for weakness. Sometimes humbleness is construed as being stupid. In the now, it is all about judgement from people and not God; however, in the end … God will have his say. Why dost thou judge thy brethren? I am better than you, I am smarter than you, and wiser. Guess what? Your god-complex is stupid in its own right: only God is fit for judging people silly.
It bothers me greatly when a so-called Jesus Christ follower sits in the pew of a church judging somebody while that somebody is doing their best to serve God and the church; sometimes said Christians even whisper sophomoric comments and laugh at someone serving, or they whisper and sit there with a scowl on their face for whatever reason. As far as I am concerned, speaking ill of someone in the church is a poor example of sanctification (Nazarene Term).
Sanctification simply put, is striving to be Christ like, yet some of you are failing miserably at being like Jesus.; perhaps I struggle as well, but at least I do not make fun of people serving God and the Church. Some of them look down their nose at you because they are older and believe they are wiser, because they have more experience; therefore, they are a better Christian. Or there is a chance they are more ambitious than you in this life. I have to be honest here, I do not care!
I do not care if you are smarter, wiser, better looking, or have more money and yet, I am not willing to concede any of those things except the money… haha. Albeit some of us look like we have had a difficult life: I grew up spending a lot of time with my grandparents, so I am not wiser but wise, nonetheless. I was bullied all through school, and I also went through many years of drug and alcohol abuse; I also have enough tattoos to where I do not remember how many I have, and maybe that makes you not want to know me, and that is okay because I know Jesus!
We are supposed to be a light in this dark world, in the society in which we dwell, to those around us, to those we love, to those we do not agree with, to those we do not understand, and to those that are different than ourselves. I dare you to strive to be Jesus like, and I dare myself as well. May God help us all!
God bless,
Chris
