Hello, my name is Chris, obviously. I would like to welcome you to the mind of a paranoid schizophrenic. Yes, you read that correctly, but do not worry, as I am really very civilized, and right now, a little nervous.
I have decided to start a blog as you have gathered by now, but this blog will not be about anything in particular; it will probably be all over the place, so to speak, like my thoughts.
When I was in college, a professor once told me I was a good writer, and that is the reason I started this blog; now, I don’t know if this professor was correct about me or not, but I would like to think I am at least, pretty good! Albeit, it has been seventeen years since I was told I was a good writer, and I am older than you might think.
I did not start succeeding in college (community college) until the age of thirty. Can you imagine what a paranoid schizophrenic must have went through in life to finally start studying at the age of thirty? I was a horrible student in high school, as I was more concerned with hanging out with my friends and partying than studying, but here I am seventeen years since I took college seriously.
I am hoping this blog will entertain you; by the way, if you are like me and are not very good at math, I am 47 years old/young, or however you would like to envision me; it does not matter to me, though I will say, I would not go back in time if you payed me. Why? I am fortunate to be as old as I am, and I am here because God allowed me to be.
So, not only did I attend community college, I made grades good enough to transfer to a university in Tennessee as a 30 year-old freshman; I did not have a vehicle or a driver license, so I had to live on campus. Imagine a 30 year-old college freshman who was living with his Mom and Dad, and them delivering him to a university for the first time; it was bitter-sweet to say the least; not to mention feelings of anxiety, strange looks from others, and my father crying because he was proud of me.
This is just the tip of the iceberg: I have many stories to try and tell you, and I may even give you my view on sports, current events, politics, and even religion. I am a Christian, I go to church, I sing with the praise-team, and I love Jesus! My wife is the Children’s Pastor at our church; we got married November 5th, 2005 and she lights up my life. I would not have started this blog if not for trying to impress her. Whether I succeed or fail, I know she will love me no matter what. Thank you, Crystal for loving me!
Well, this about wraps up this particular entry. I hope you have enjoyed my very first blog entry ever! If you ever get bored or whatever, come check it out. I have always loved writing, but knowing just one person could be reading this scares me, but I hope to continue on as much as my mind will allow me. I can not tell you when my next blog will be, so check back when you can; you and me may just be surprised!
Take care and God bless!
Chris
