I Love Cats Three

So, Crystal and I have adopted a cat, and her name is Sunny. Sunny is the third cat we have had in our fifteen years of marriage. When we adopted Sunny, her name was Sun; I am not sure why because she is black with tan mixed in. Sunny looks like she has eyebrows and a mustache, and Crystal says she looks like an old man. Sunny also has tan-like eyes that look right through you; she is very pretty and relatively small and approximately nine months young, so she is full of energy and curiosity.

I know in an earlier entry (I Love Cats Too) I said I did not want another cat, but the thought of rescuing an animal this time of year made me feel nostalgic and really moved me, so I thought to myself I must be ready! I looked at shelters online and saw a picture of Sunny, and decided she was the one I wanted, so Crystal sent the shelter a message asking about her. Within the next day or two we heard back from the shelter, and we found ourselves on the way to get her. We drove through rain and fog on curvy mountain roads to get her two hours away, but she was definitely worth it.

Sunny is very loving and playful and spoiled. Sunny has a bad habit of hovering around our feet when trying to maneuver from Point A to Point B. When I am in the bathroom, I almost always see little black paws under the door, and it makes me laugh. Sunny is definitely a ray of sunshine in our lives, and we are very grateful to have her in our family.

By the way, Crystal came up with the clever title for this entry, so I want to give credit where credit is due: thank you Crystal… I love you! Whether you like cats or not, I hope you enjoyed reading this entry as much as I enjoyed writing it.

Take care and God bless!

Chris
